SmartComm User Authentication
The authentication of SmartComm is handled as follows:
User ID - SmartComm
By default, SmartSolve creates the SmartComm user with the necessary rights to perform SmartComm functions. The system administrator must create the SmartComm user in the applicable domain or machine.
User ID - Not SmartComm
Follow the steps below to set up a non SmartComm user.
- Change the User ID in the SmartComm.exe.config file to the preferred User ID.
- Create an Internal Actor using the same User ID.
- Give the Internal Actor the SMARTCOMM ADMIN role.
- Give the Internal Actor SmartComm access rights, such as SmartComm Group.
- Create the User ID in the domain.
