Performing Roster Approval from the Portal Page

If training session enrollment is used, there is an option to allow manager approval to take place if the person who signs up for training requires manager approval to take the training. As long as the training session status is Signup Open, then this approval can be performed by the person’s manager.

NOTE: Roster approval can only take place if the Requires Manager Approval to Attend Training Session option is checked for the Person enrolled for sign up of the training session.

  1. From the Manager Workspace dashboard on the Portal Page, select the Roster Needs Approval tab.
  2. Check the checkbox of the trainee. Click Action > Sign-off.
    Result: The Roster Person Sign-off window is displayed.
  3. Check the Approve checkbox to approve the trainee for the roster. Leave the checkbox blank if you want to reject the trainee.
  4. Enter an approval note.
  5. Enter your user ID and password and then click the Save button.
    Result: The roster approval has been signed off. The trainee displays in the roster showing a Manager Approval Status of Approved or Rejected.

NOTE: If the manager fails to approve or reject the trainee prior to sign-up closing, it will be up to the trainer to decide whether or not to accept the trainee to the roster.
