Rules

 

Introduction

Rules are attached to Groups. They determine the percentage of approval or rejection responses a record can receive before the routing continues to the next Group level or record level.

 

Default Rules

Rule Name

Definition

Unanimous - Get all opinions

All members must approve. The level is not considered complete until all votes from all members are recorded.

 

Unanimous - Stop at first dissent

All members must approve. The routing is stopped when the first rejection is recorded.

 

Simple Majority

Fifty percent of the voters must approve. Level is considered complete once 50% is reached.

 

Simple Majority - Get all opinions

Fifty percent of the voters must approve. Level is considered complete once 50% is reached and all votes have been recorded.

 

Simple Majority - Stop on first dissent

Fifty percent of the voters must approve. Routing is stopped when the first rejection is recorded.

 

Simple Majority - No dissent

Fifty percent of the voters must approve. Routing is stopped when the first rejection is recorded. The record is set to REJECTED status.

 

Absolute Majority

Sixty-seven percent of the voters must approve. Level is considered complete once 67% is reached.

 

Absolute Majority - Get all opinions

Sixty-seven percent of the voters must approve. Level is considered complete once 67% is reached and all votes are recorded.

 

Absolute Majority - Stop on first dissent

Sixty-seven percent of the voters must approve. Routing is stopped when the first rejection is recorded.

 

Absolute Majority - No dissent

Sixty-seven percent of the voters must approve. Routing is stopped when the first rejection is recorded. The record is set to REJECTED status.

 

Super Majority

Seventy-five percent of the voters must approve. Level is considered complete when 75% is reached.

 

Super Majority - Get all opinions

Seventy-five percent of the voters must approve. Level is considered complete when all votes are recorded and 75% are approved.

 

Super Majority - Stop on first dissent

Seventy-five percent of the voters must approve. Routing is stopped when the first rejection is recorded.

 

Super Majority - No dissent

Seventy-five percent of the voters must approve. Routing is stopped when the first rejection is recorded. The record is set to REJECTED status.

 

Any

Any single approval will suffice, regardless of other decisions. Level is considered complete upon first approval.

 

Any - Get all opinions

Any single approval will suffice, regardless of other decisions. Level is considered complete upon first approval but all votes are recorded.

 

Any - Stop on first dissent

Any single approval will suffice, regardless of other decisions. However, if the first vote is a rejection the routing is stopped.

User Rights

The following Rights must be assigned to a user to view Rules:

Global vs. Local

Rules can only be modified from the Global Organization.

 

How to Modify Rules

1.     Log into the Global Organization

2.    From the Portal Page, click Smart Solutions tab > Admin and Report > Setup. Under System Wide, select Rules.

The Rules list displays.

3.     Edit any information for your Rules.

4.     Click the Save button.

All changes are now reflected in the Rules.
